Welcome to FightLine’s live coverage of UFC Fight Night 74.
Tonight’s event marks the first-ever stop for the Octagon in Saskatchewan, as the SaskTel Centre opens its doors for fights.
In the main event, featherweight contenders Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira do battle.
Holloway (13-3) has reeled off an impressive six-fight win streak since going the distance with current interim UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor back in 2013.
Oliveira (20-4) is on a four-fight win streak that includes submission wins over Nik Lentz, Hatsu Hioki and Andy Ogle. He is 6-2 over his last eight, losing only to Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson.
Also, Neil Magny steps in on short notice as a replacement for Rick Story, taking on Erick Silva in the co-main event.
Other FOX Sports 1 main card fights include Patrick Cote vs. Josh Burkman, Chad Laprise vs. Francisco Trinaldo, Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Tony Sims and Maryna Moroz vs. Valerie Letourneau.
Four of the six prelims also air live on FS1, featuring Sam Stout vs. Frankie Perez, Yves Jabouin vs. Felipe Arantes, Marcios Rogerio de Lima vs. Nikita Krylov and Chris Kelades vs. Chris Beal.
UFC Fight Pass will kick things off with Shane Campbell-Elias Silverio and Misha Cirkunov-Daniel Jolly in early prelim action.

PRELIMINARY CARD
Daniel Jolly vs. Misha Cirkunov
We begin the night in the light heavyweight division, as UFC newcomers Misha Cirkunov (9-2) and Daniel Jolly (5-0) face off. Jolly is replacing Sean O’Connell, who pulled out of the fight earlier this month.
Round 1: You can tell these Canadian fans have been waiting for UFC action, as they are loud and proud here early on. Cirkunov currently trains out of Toronto, so he’ll be the hometown favorite. Jolly throwing big kicks, but Cirkunov lands with a huge right hand right off the bat. Nice 1-2 combo from Jolly connects, and he lands a counter-right off a missed kick by Cirkunov. Judo throw from Cirkunov gives him side control and plenty of time to work. He’s using his size advantage, looking for a choke. Jolly rolls, but Cirkunov still has hold of his neck. Nice defense by Jolly, using his strength to off-set the size disadvantage. Cirkunov slips in a hook, jumps on his back, but winds up on his own back with Jolly on top. Jolly wants nothing to do with a grappling exchange and they stand back up. Jolly with the clinch and a knee, but Cirkunov uses his skills to take him down and gain full-mount. Shots from Cirkunov, Jolly turns and gives up his back. Cirkunov gets a hook in again and looks to be rolling for either an arm-lock or rear-naked choke. He’s peppering him with shots. After failing to get the submission, Cirkunov rolls and begins landing more and more shots. The ref steps in and this one is all over.

Shane Campbell vs. Elias Silverio
All the way down to the lightweight ranks with Shane Campbell (11-3) and Elias Silverio (11-1). Campbell is a well-decorated Muay Thai champion, while Silverio once held the Jungle Fight welterweight title.
Round 1: Silverio gets his kick caught, but still works and gets the takedown. He’s trying to propel himself on Campbell’s back. He breaks him down by kicking off the fence. Campbell, though, pounces right back up. The Brazilian still has hold of the body-lock, forcing Campbell to carry him around. Another kick off the fence earns him a takedown and into half-guard off the scramble. While he isn’t really putting finishing shots together, Silverio is doing enough to keep them from being stood up. Silverio attempts to take the back, but that gives Campbell the opportunity to reverse and wind up on top with under a minute to go. He stands up and is out. Nice little flurry by Campbell to end the round.

Round 2: Silverio attempts to bring this one down to the ground again, but Campbell uses the fence for leverage. Campbell felt the takedown coming and reversed, pushing Silverio to the ground. He’s landing nice kicks from this position now, and he shows off his takedown skills, using a nice judo trip to score. Another takedown and Campbell winds up on top, giving Silverio a taste of his own game. Campbell showing off his striking skills, as Silverio appears fatigued.

Round 3: Silverio looks to be the more fatigued fighter, and Campbell is taking advantage. He’s peppering him with lefts and rights, moving and dodging shots. Takedown attempt by Silverio is telegraphed, but he is able to score with it. He’s got on hook in and is working to advance his position with three minutes left in the fight. The crowd is growing restless with Silverio’s decision to hang on Campbell, and he is able to reverse and score a takedown before separating. Good exchange, and Campbell is stalking him. Silverio attempts a takedown and Campbell winds up on top, landing shots and possibly stealing this round.
